1.Everyone is not eligible for this program
People usually think to apply for Canada visa through Express Entry regardless of their age and skills. But, candidates with certain skills and work experience are only eligible to apply under this program. Those candidates can apply in one of three economic immigration categories including Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), Federal Skilled Trade Program (FSTP) and Canadian Experience Class.

2. Job in Hand is not necessary
It is not that important to have a job offer to get this visa. If you are applying under Express Entry, you will be given points and rank according to your profile using CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System). You will be awarded points 1200 points out of which 600 are awarded if you are qualifying for a job offer or you have the provincial nomination certificate.

3.  There is no “Eligible Occupation List”
Candidates often think while applying whether their profession is listed in the Express Entry occupation list. But in reality, there is no such list in Express Entry. 

For the application, interested candidates need to show the paid work experience of at least one year in a skilled occupation in the time period of last 10 years. 

Note- it is a waste of time to fill the application if your occupation is not classified as skilled.

4. Always keep your documents ready
It is always good to keep yourself ready with required documents when you have applied for the visa. After receiving ITA, candidates often think they have a lot of time to submit the required documents and in the nick of time, they miss to collect required documents including educational, personal, work references and letter in a hurry. Avoid this last minute preparations.

5. Language Test Is Compulsory
Many applicants have this wrong perception in mind that they don’t need to take language test for the Express Entry. Immigration authority of Canada has confirmed that aspirants must show their proficiency in one of two official languages namely English or French if they want to enter the pool of Express Entry Canada.

6. Never give false information
Many times, candidates often give incorrect information regarding education and work experience to increase the selection probability in the Express Entry Canada.
